Students for Somalia

As benevolent and magnanimous as ever, The International School of Choueifat- City of 6 October has just successfully accomplished its very noble project, "Students for Somalia"- 10 Hour Famine in Solidarity with the People of Somalia. During the last 10 days of November, the students went out to collect sponsors who would be willing to sponsor their hours of fasting.

Homeless Childern Summer Camp

Students and staff at the International School of Choueifat-City of 6 October (ISC-6 October) in Cairo, Egypt, regularly give back to their community through the school’s active Student Life Organization®. Demonstrating their commitment to making a difference, students and staff members continued their projects even into the summer, despite the school being on break for the season.

Very Successful year for ISC-Cairo Sports Teams

The school teams from the International School of Choueifat – Cairo have just finished an extremely successful year with both the boys’ and the girls’ Middle School (under 14) volleyball teams winning the Cairo International Schools’ Sports Association (CISSA) championships.

Approach to Education

ISC - Egypt offers its students an educational approach that maximizes the chances of success with emphasis on English, mathematics, science, and a second language.

  • English is the medium of instruction.
  • Mathematics is the prerequisite for the in-depth understanding of the natural sciences and related subjects.
  • A second language is stressed throughout the curriculum. From KG1, parents may choose between Arabic and French, and they receive a minimum of one hour of instruction in their chosen language each day. From Grade 7 onwards, French as a third language is introduced.

Students who do not have the minimum basic knowledge of English and mathematics must possess the determination to make up for any deficiency through sustained hard work. Accelerated programs are available to help students reach the required standard as quickly as possible.
