The International Schools of Choueifat, “Archeological Dig”

Students from both International Schools of Choueifat in Egypt: Cairo and City of 6th of October were invited to join an Archeological Dig under the sponsorship of the Children’s Museum in Indianapolis, USA, which is one of the largest children’s museums in the world. This museum has been advising in the design of the new Suzanne Mubarak Children's Museum in Heliopolis which is now under construction.

Choueifat Cairo Peacekeepers

This year in KG 1 through Grade 3 all students took part in the peacekeeper activity. Peacekeepers is a program designed to help with character development and prevent violence in school. It is built on six principles and students took part in classrooms activities to learn about these.

Middle School Social Studies Projects: Term 3

Probably the activity that has given rise to the greatest show of talent and enthusiasm from the students has been the Social Studies project assignment, across the four year-groups. We worked individually or in groups to make some marvellous posters and 3-D models, on subjects related to the work studied in class. We then gave presentations to the class. Primary School Musical

The Wizard of Oz Early June saw the presentation of the musical The Wizard of Oz performed by students in grades 2, 3 and 4 and directed by Mr. Jack Tomlinson and Ms Mary Saydein.

Extracurricular Acivities

As part of a healthy and efficient education, SABIS^® Educational Systems calls for a measured balance of homework, before- and after-school activities, work, and personal responsibilities. Thus, SABIS^® students are encouraged to join numerous after-school activities following the completion of the academic day.

In the SABIS^® Educational System, extracurricular activities complement and facilitate students' academic studies. While providing ways to socialize, relax, have fun, and become refreshed, extracurricular activities keep students physically fit, increase their energy and stamina, widen their interests, and promote mental agility. Students may participate in a wide range of activities including swimming, tennis, table-tennis, volleyball, football, painting, and music, among others. All extracurricular programs are organized and overseen by the student-run SABIS Student Life Organization^®.

With a range of activity options reflecting student interest, students can develop their interests, refine their talents, and hone their social skills, while strengthening friendships. Voluntary student and staff extracurricular offerings at the SABIS^® schools typically include sports teams, academic competitions, field trips and various school-sponsored athletic and non-athletic activities.

ISC - Egypt students may participate in a wide range of activities including swimming, tennis, table-tennis, football, volleyball, softball, gymnastics, drama, folk dancing, ballet and painting, among others.
